Our Story & Community Roots

Serving Clinton Since 1992

General Bob's Swap Shop began as a simple idea - bringing back the warmth and trust of neighborhood trading using the power of radio. Back in 1992, General Bob and Lady Belle took their decades of radio and advertising experience and set out to make it easy for locals in Clinton, Madison, Pearl, and the Tri-County area to buy, sell, or trade anything, all in real time. The aim was never just business - it was about re-creating the spirit of the Saturday morning market, where neighbors helped one another, stories were exchanged, and every transaction came with a friendly hello. Their broadcast instantly invited regular folks to call in or send a text and have their listings shared live, building confidence and sparking connections across the airwaves. By keeping the show free for everyday people and focusing on honest local dealings, General Bob's Swap Shop has become a trusted town tradition. The business's roots run deep in the community, always putting service and family values first, so every voice gets heard and every deal feels safe.
